This is SHAHAB in charge of the blog.

It's the season when the autumn leaves are more colorful, but have you changed? Well, we registered dietitians deliver appropriate meals according to the medical condition, age, and physical strength of each inpatient,
other professionals to treat diseases and quickly recover from illness. We are here to help you. Therefore, this time, we would like to introduce what kind of things we administrative dietitians carry and carry out in our daily work.
[ Regional dietitian's white coat ]
Our white coat has a chest pocket and one pocket on each side of the waist.
I will introduce 7 items in these 3 pockets.

1.Medical PHS: Cellular phones for making calls within the hospital and receiving calls from outside the hospital
Medical PHS uses radio waves that do not affect medical equipment. I always carry it with me so that I can adapt to any dietary changes.

2.Medical Safety Pocket Manual: Guideline for safe medical care
All hospital staff are required to carry this manual to promote safety measures, prevent infection, and respond appropriately in the event of a problem.

3. Pocket Manual for Enteral Nutrients and Infusions: Composition List
Enteral nutrition therapy (a method of administering nutrition using a tube that is difficult to take orally) and parenteral nutrition (a method of administering nutrition to people whose gastrointestinal tract is not functioning or who needs rest of the gastrointestinal tract) Some people are taking nutrition, so it is necessary to confirm the dosage and nutritional composition.

5.Three-color ballpoint pen: You will need it to write down various things.
I think everyone has their own rules about how to use colors, but in my case, I use black for memos, red for important points, and blue for comments.

6. Pocket calculator: Used for nutritional calculations .
Calculation of necessary nutrients and dosage of enteral nutrition and infusion preparations. In addition, I carry around so that I can calculate the excess and deficiency of electrolytes and the rate of administration. *Some patients are unable to obtain sufficient nutrition through oral intake alone and are also using peripheral parenteral nutrition. Checking to see if it's fulfilled.

7. Portable alcohol hand gel: Used for hand hygiene.
I always carry it because I can perform effective hand hygiene in a shorter time than hand washing with handwash and running water.
*Alcohol hand sanitizer does not have a cleaning effect, so if your hands are visibly dirty, wash your hands with hand sanitizer and running water, wash off the dirt, and then disinfect your hands with alcohol hand sanitizer. .
We registered dietitians carry various things with us so that we can understand the nutritional status of each inpatient and propose nutritional therapy suitable for the patient's condition. From now on, we would like to be a registered dietitian who is needed by patients and various occupations as a medical worker.
